Tourism minister Hamat Bah and the Gambia’s delegation to next week’s World Tourism Fair in London have had their prospects for success dampened after it emerged the first port of aerial entry to Banjul has not met international standards of environmental hygiene.
The Gambia government has been set in its usual firefighting mode as it currently makes efforts to fix fire engines at the airport; the lack of which led to cancellations of tourist flights for this winter season.
The tourism minister said today that before Sunday, fire engines will be fitted in the airport.
