Food Prices Could Soar Further As Dollar Shortage Deepens 

Prices of imported food items could further rocket skywards as importers find it virtually impossible to acquire the required dollars for importation.

Importers of food commodities have also been at the receiving end of the dollar dearth as they struggled to get supplies for the past several months.

There were meantime well-founded fears that the seemingly intractable dollar problem could exacerbate the food instability in the country.
