President Adama Barrow has finally appointed Muhammed Jallow as the Gambia’s Vice President.
The appointment is effective from 24 February 2023.
According to official sources, Jallow served as secretary general and head of the civil service until his retirement in 2020.
Prior to his elevation to the position of secretary general and head of the civil service, Jallow reportedly served as an unqualified teacher and permanent secretary at various ministries.
He also served as deputy executive director of Senegalo-Gambia Secretariat, official sources said.
