The Gambia Angola China Holdings Global Group (GACH) on Saturday pledged D150,000 to the Gambia China Students Alumni Association at the ceremony held at the Sir Dawda kairaba Conference Center.
The program was geared towards recognizing the cordial relationships between the Gambian students who study in China and the Public Republic of China through partnerships with other companies like GACH Global Group were invited as the Chief Guest of honor.
Deputizing the Chief Executive Officer of GACH, Dr. Abubakary Jawara, Yusupha Jawara highlighted the importance of education and having one studying abroad and coming back to serve his or her nation, adding that the country will be developed by the citizenry. He also points out that one should always ask what he or she can do for the country and not what the country can do for them.
Mr. Jawara stressed that mainland China was never involved in any other thing than development and the development agenda been the reason for the construction of the Sir Dawda Kairaba Conference Center and the Gambia China Students Alumni whilst recognizing the efforts of GACH playing in the life of ordinary Gambians.
