President Adama Barrow of The Gambia has called for a retraction and an apology from The Voice newspaper following a report that claimed he has selected businessman Muhammed Jah as his successor.
The story prompted a quick response from the National People’s Party, whose admin secretary, Seedy Ceesay, denounced it as false.
In a letter from Barrow’s legal team, Ida D Drameh & Associates, the article was labeled as libelous, demanding a response from the newspaper and warning of potential legal action if no action is taken.
