Fellow Gambians,
Saihou Mballow, an empty barrel from America, has nothing to offer The Gambia and her people other than praise-singing and inciting violence in the country. This man has no skill sets or expertise in anything, nor does he have a trade to fall back on.
To him and many like him, tribalism, ethnic cleansing, rhetorics, or disunity amongst Gambian tribes would be beneficial to continue enjoying their little privileges rather than offering solutions to our everyday challenges faced by our republic. Gambians better be weary of this octopus-like man or a man whose face is as ugly as the backside of a hippopotamus.
These are the ignoramus folks failing The Gambia daily. His statement indicted the Barrow hegemony of tribalism that many have highlighted from the get-go. These are the kind of rhetorics liked by his employer because these people can break the laws of our land, and nothing happens to them as long as they continue to support and mystify Adama Barrow.
The Gambia under Barrow hegemony is a dictatorship where the IGP only acts if he gets a call from the State house justified the gross incompetence of both the presidency and the police leadership. It’s a theoretical playbook of Animal Farm depicted by George Orwell. Shame on Saihou Mballow for being on the wrong side of history.
As a society, Gambians believe in ideologies based on meritocratic reward systems that prioritize value addition to society over hate, demagoguery, spitefulness, and divisions. There is a need for a government that rewards individuals based on merit rather than tribal affiliations, as Saihou Mballow’s statements suggest. The Gambia government is expected to be a reputable institution that focuses on improving citizens’ lives rather than traumatising and dividing them.
This is like a devil confessing and validating the wrongdoing of the Barrow hegemony. The Gambia government is neither Mballow Kunda nor Barrow Kunda, and it’s not a Fulani hegemony nor other tribes but it’s an institution for all where governments come and go but the people remain as one.
