And so now the lies have taken on a new dimension! Some people, claiming to be standing up for Islam, want to do so through lies and slander.
I would think that fighting for Islam would be based on truth but apparently when some people have an agenda, they are willing to lie, twist and slander even in the name of Islam. But that is not a battle for me to fight.
Last night, a sister called me because someone went and told her that I was promoting gay rights on Facebook. This afternoon, my family also called to say the same thing and lamented that people are calling them from all over complaining about me promoting gay rights!
You’d think those telling these lies will at least try and get some evidence but I guess decency is alien to them so long as they can beat their chests in falsehood! All those peddling these lies about me cannot point to a single instance to prove their lies!
On the post they reference, there’s not a single word there that referenced promoting GAYS or unpromoting any group! The post said nothing whatsoever about Gay Rights or their promotion thereof.
Some hypocrites that refuse to read or just want to slander me tried to come and make silly conclusions about LBGT rights but when asked to show one instance where I promoted gay rights, they quickly abandoned the conversation because they couldn’t provide any evidence to back their lies!
Interestingly, the people that are going around spreading these lies about me to my parents claim to be doing so in defense of Islam! How cursed must one be to be defending Islam with LIES and SLANDER? I mean what does it say about an individual who feels that they have to slander and lie against another to defend Allah’s religion?
I am no religious scholar but I do know that lying on people is not in line with Islam. So those of you lying about me, I forgive you and I pray Allah forgives you your slandering.
What I said and I will say anywhere and at anytime is that some of the people attacking Imam Baba Leigh, especially some of the APRC minions, are unrepentant hypocrites because they were the very same people cheering Yaya Jammeh knowing he is a killer, a rapist and a thief!
Now if anyone sees themselves in that, too bad! These things didn’t happen eons ago and it’s not so dark that we cannot recognize one another!
My post is still up with all the comments and responses! I’m not currying favors from anyone and I have no reason to pander to any group!
I stand by my views and challenge anyone to show me anywhere where I’ve promoted gay rights, or ungay rights or whatever rights! If my post bothers your conscience or you see someone you know in what I said, that’s your issue to deal with!
I didn’t mention any names!!! If I’ll advice those lying about me, I’ll tell them to show the evidence of me promoting any rights whatsoever or repent!! Lying on people is a sin and you sure don’t need to lie in order to defend Islam.
Defend the religion with truth!!! But I’m not holding my breath.
