The Gambia has registered another 128 new cases of coronavirus.
According to figures from the country’s Ministry of Health, 799 people have contracted the disease since March 2020.
An additional two unnamed people have also died of the disease, taking the number of deaths to 16.
Despite the increasing number of cases, the number of people who are recovering from the disease is also increasing.
Meanwhile, police in the country yesterday issued a record number of D1000 fines to many individuals seen in public without a face mask.
