‘Who’re Musician Attack’s Biological Parents?’

Every genuine Gambian should diametrically condemn a tribalist musician called ATTACK for insulting the Mandingo tribes due to his unsuccessful musical adventures. As horrible as it may sound, there are many like him in the Gambia.

People love branding and content creation, and Mr. Attack lacks both and therefore, should be sorry for himself for producing substandard music that doesn’t resonate with the majority of Gambians.

However, using Mandingo people as scapegoats is not only rude but disgusting to our national discourse. I blame Mr. Peter Gomez for giving him the platform to do such derangement without cautioning him. The Gambia, as a country, is interrelated, interwoven, and intertwined, with marriages across all tribes.

Our Mandingo people have been insulted by our own, notably Dembo Bojang, Maimuna Ceesay Darboe, Ahmed Gitteh, Fatoumatta Jawara, Momodou Sabally, and many other questionable characters just to name a few within our country, giving license to others like “ATTACK” to see us as lesser people, despite being the largest tribe according to the national census and a crucial voting bloc.

That’s why it’s worth loving oneself to be respected in our various societies. To many, greed and low self-esteem has gotten the best of them and have gutted and denigrated their very own to survive on breadcrumbs and handouts.

We’ve seen state ministers of the NPP make tribal remarks, but neither the government nor the IGP has addressed such sensitive issues.

So, Mr. Attack got his inspiration from the government and Mandingo haters, many of whom are Mandingoes themselves. No tribe in the Gambia, regardless of size, should go through constant ridicule and vilification, which is a national security threat. Mr. Attack and his types are many and are suffering from severe mental health issues, such as arrogance and self-pride.

Sometimes, if one does not factor in the rule of law, it’s quite easy to straighten such wayward, unrepairable deplorable waste of a human sperm in the person of ATTACK. That’s why we advocate for a government that will enforce good laws for everyone, not just the top one percent.
