25 Kafoos In CRR North Ditch Bensouda

Twenty-five UDP grassroots groups in the Central River Region North, which adopted Talib Ahmed Bensouda as honorary father, have severed ties to the young mayor, bringing close to 100 groups that ditched him since he resigned as the organising secretary of the UDP.

The United Democratic Party (UDP) has issued a strong call to its member groups that adopted Bensouda as honorary father to withdraw the title. And many groups wasted no time in heeding the party’s call.

In URR alone, 12 Bensouda-affiliated groups have so far declared their decision to abandon the mayor.

In a similar development, the UDP executive committee in CRR North met at Lamin Koto on Monday to announce the names of the Talib-affiliated groups that have so far responded positively to the UDP’s call.

According to the administrative secretary of the UDP in CRR North Lamin Ceesay, the following groups in that neck of the woods have waved their good-byes to Bensouda:….

1. Jarumeh Koto UDP 100% in Sami Constituency led by Mama Bakar.
2. Jarumeh Koto Chosan Kankurang Kafoo led by Fatoumatta Ceesay.
3. Jarumeh Koto Football Association led by Ba-Omar Jassey.
4. Sami Suruwa Kunda Farmers’ Association led by Isatou Ceesay.
5. Sami Pachonki UDP Kafoo led by Faida Leigh.
6. Niani Salikeni UDP Kafoo led by Jonsaba Jarju.
7. Niani Women’s Kafoo led by Fatou Drammeh.
8. Yona UDP Kafoo led by Makuta Camara.
9. Kujew Yiriwa Kafoo led by Lalla Kanyi.
10. Palele UDP Nianija led by Assan Suwareh.
11. Chamen UDP Association in Nianija led by Jainaba Barry.
12. Jallow Kunda Serign in Nianija led by Aminata Nyang.
13. Barajally Souba led by Mariama Fadia.
14. Wassu UDP Fulang Kafoo led by Mrs. Jarra.
15. Sinchu Malick Barry UDP led Adama Jallow.

The UDP CRR North administrative secretary said they were still compiling the names of the UDP CRR North-based Talib-affiliated groups that were ready to turn their backs to Talib Ahmed Bensouda.
