Five UDP member groups in the North Bank Region (NBR) have claimed back the honorary father title that they’ve variously bestowed on the Kanifing Municipality mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda.
This development followed the declaration a few days ago by 37 groups in URR and CRR North of their decision to ditch the mayor following his resignation as the organizing secretary of the United Democratic Party.
The Tsunami of the estrangement has now reached the NBR as Kanni Kunda Suba Kambeng Kafoo led by Isatou Kebbeh, Kerr Bamba Dara Kaffo headed Yassin Ndow, the Fatou Camara-led Tandiato Jakan Sita Kaffo, Sara Kunda Kuteh Jumbul Kaffo led by Manding Sanneh, Bambally Forayaa Kaffo under the leadership of Yafaye Suwareh and the Omar Tunkara-led Sabach group have on Tuesday joined the nearly forty groups in the URR and CRR North that have withdrawn their honorary father title from Bensouda.
