(JollofNews) State prosecutors in the Gambia have filed criminal charges against a man accused of stealing two farm animals belonging to President Yahya Jammeh.
Sadibou Badjie of Bwiam village, Foni Kansala District in the West Coast Region is said to have stolen two bulls worth D50,000 from Mr Jammeh’s Dunnborr Farm.
According to Police prosecutor Lamin Jammeh, offence happened last October and in the course of their investigation, the suspect was arrested by police and detained.
Sadibou Badjie who made his first court appearance on Thursday since his arrest, denied the allegation and was given a D60,00 bail by Magistrate PM Sarr of the Brikama court.
The case continues.
