Gambian Stopper Musa Dibaga Signs For Crusaders After Stellar Season In Scotland

Gambian goalkeeper Musa Dibaga has taken another step forward in his career after signing a two-year deal with Northern Irish club Crusaders FC.

The 25-year-old, who stands at an imposing 6ft 4in, joins the Belfast side following a breakout season with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish League One. Dibaga’s contract with Inverness expired this summer, opening the door for his next challenge—this time in the NIFL Premiership.

Though born in Zaragoza, Spain, Dibaga’s Gambian roots have been a key part of his identity. That connection was solidified earlier this year when he received his first call-up to the Scorpions for the March World Cup qualifiers against Kenya and Ivory Coast.

His invitation to the national team came after a string of standout performances in Scotland. Dibaga kept 14 clean sheets in 32 matches and played a vital role in Inverness’s campaign. His consistency between the posts earned him a place in the League One Team of the Season and he was also crowned Inverness’s Player of the Season.

Now, he’s hoping to build on that momentum with Crusaders, one of Northern Ireland’s top sides.

Declan Caddell, the club’s manager, expressed confidence that Dibaga will make an immediate impact.

“We’re thrilled to bring Musa to Crusaders,” Caddell said. “He had a fantastic season with Inverness and comes highly recommended. After speaking with him, it was clear this is the right club for him to continue progressing and achieve his ambitions of playing at the highest level.”

Caddell also backed Dibaga to quickly win over fans at Seaview.

“We look forward to seeing him in action next season and have no doubt he’ll be a big success and an instant fan favourite.”
