Momodou Sabally Rubbishes Defection Rumours

Momodou Sabally, is a major candidate in April’s planned parliamentary election.

UDP aspirant for Busumbala Constituency, Momodou Sabally popularly known as Baba La Commando has rubbished rumours that he has decamped his part and joined President Barrow’s National Peoples Party.

It was rumours on social networking sites that the popular politician has met with Mr Barrow and has since switched his allegiance to NPP for some unexplained reasons.

Mr Sabally, whose nomination was recently rejected by the country’s electoral commission, is a major candidate in the April’s planned parliamentary election. He has been subjected to abuse and criticism since he refused to be part of the Barrow’s NPP camp.

But reacting to the rumours, Mr Sabally said the desperate dudes of the NPP released a malicious and mendacious audio last night, claiming that I had joined their party and given up on my run for parliament at Busumbala Constituency under the UDP ticket.

According to him, the claim is false and that is the wish of President Barrow and his mafia camp, but it shall not happen in a billion years InShaAllah. “I am a member of the UDP, and I shall remain a loyal and committed supporter of the great yellow party.”

He added: “Neither have I given up on my bid to become the elected representative of the people of Busumbala Constituency. That battle is raging on at the courts as I write this post and we are confident of victory by the Grace of Allah.”

“The struggle to liberate our country from subjugation to our Neighbour and the mafia cabal shall continue unabated till we restore the sovereignty of our motherland and stop the rampant corruption and cronyism that characterizes the NPP kleptocracy,” Sabally assured his supporters.
