Police Called To Yundum Cemetery Over Disinterred Body

The police were called to New Yundum cemetery Friday night following the discovery there of a disinterred body.

The body of a woman, identified as Jabou Fofana, was found at the cemetery metres away from her grave.

“The body was untouched,” a police official from the West Coast Regional Command told JollofNews.

Asked whether the police were suspicious of any foul-play, our interlocutor quickly replied: ” No. I don’t suspect anything of sort. Nothing actually happened to the body. I think this lady is one of the people favoured by Allah. The body might have been washed away by rain.”

Meanwhile, some residents of the area were spewing counter-narratives.

An eyewitness narrated to JollofNews that he got the shock of his life when he arrived at the cemetery only to find the body desecrated.

“The covering was all torn. We had to ringfence the area to prevent eyewitnesses from taking pictures. I’ve never seen anything like it in my entire life,” he added.

“I suspect foul-play,” he added.

The late Jabou Fofana was interred last Wednesday night.
