Gambia 2016: Celebrating The End Of Tyranny

KING(JollofNews) – We begin by praising Almighty Allah for giving us the patient and the strength to effect a peaceful change of government in the Gambia.

It has not been an easy road and many Gambians who stood up against tyranny and injustice have been killed and buried six-feet deep, arrested, tortured or exiled.

Many families have been left orphaned and many parents were left childless.  Their pain was immeasurable.

It was a painful journey never experienced before in the history of the Gambia, yet no matter how terrible the pain was, Gambians never allowed the devil to get the better of them. They remained patient 22 long years and prayed to their Lord for help.

That help finally came a few months ago when their Lord like in the Biblical scripture gave them a previously unknown man as their leader. The new leader gave them courage and inspired them.

He made them believe that they can slay the monster that has tormented them for over two decades peacefully  without shedding their blood again if they rise and exercise their democratic rights.

Some had doubted him at the beginning but he has made the unthinkable happen. The Mighty Professor  Sheikh Yahya  Babili Mansa Jammeh has been slayed and will soon disappear into his Kanilai Kingdom or somewhere far, far and far away.

The bells of freedoms are ringing in the four corners of the Gambia. We are free at last and the thousands of Gambians who were forced into exile can now return home and help rebuild their country.

We shall no longer be afraid to hold political discussions in the open. We can now sleep peacefully at night without the men in black breaking in our homes and take us away in front of our children. We are indeed really free.

The locks of Mile Two Prisons shall be broken and all political detainees languishing in mosquito infested cells and surviving on watery stew will be welcome back to Gambian society not as former prisoners but as freedom fighters and heroes.

Never again shall we allow monsters  like Jammeh to govern the Gambia and hold the people captive.

For Yahya Jammeh and his cronies, we should show them forgiveness and mercy even though they don’t deserve it.

A lot of blood has already been spilled in our God blessed country and we shall not resort to the same barbaric style of governance that we have fought against in the first place.

The Gambia belongs to all of us and the new administration should use their mandate to unite the country and  provide a better and prosperous Gambia that we all yearn for.

Let’s say a big thank you to the chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, Alieu Mommar Njai for providing us the means to slay the monster.

Alhamdulillah, change has happened in the Gambia.

  1. Please MA Bah do not involve in any illegal activities with jammeh, we know very well stay good as you used to be. Jammeh has a dirty trick and you are awared of it, he use this tricks for a long time. This man change positions like a ghost of wind, just mind this is end game.

  2. The lieutenant Jammeh is a thief. He has stolen immensly from the gambian people during his 22 years of tyrrany.
The self proclaimed doctor, professor, sheikh, alhadji and more, the healer of so many sicknessis is just a fraud. He even claimed to cure AIDS!!
He has since long been the ridicule of Africa. The rest of the continent has been laughing at this foolish but dangerous man. One of the exceptions might be his fellow Nguema in Equatorialguinea. So there the lieutenant has found his partner. Two dictators at the same place. One still robbing his people and the gambian thief and lieutenant on the run. Running from the answers the gambian people need to what happened to those who dissappered, those ho suddenly just were not there anymore.
I do hope the International Community can put the pieces together and claim responsibility. One key person in invstigating lieutenant jammehs crime is his long time serving former minister of interior, Ousman Sonko. That guy fled the gambia and is now in Spain seeking asylum. He is supposed to be the one who carried out the orders and wishes of the lieutenant. And those wishes include the murder of Deyda Hydara.

And where have you found your complice? haven’t I told you to shut your neocolonial mouth and stop poking your nose into authentic Gambian issues?
Our country is written with capital G for respect and orthographic understanding.
What international community(ies) are you refering to, that would put pieces together? What international fora can with authority and clearance put other pieces together outside their own shattered doors? Not the UN , the EU per se!
Have the present “Coalition” members presented financial clearance certificates before contesting? Has Barrow been probe about his financial dealings as a real estate agent before contesting?
There are many pertinent questions we need answers for before exonerating or villifying the present core of the “Coalition”

  4. Correction:
    Has barrow been probed about…………….

  5. Our unity, peace, security and justice is our foundation to lasting development and the reinforcement of our democracy. We should do the best to defeat CORRUPTION, without which we are bound to fail.

    • PEACE, corruption runs the world, why do you think Yahya had to deal with his enemies the way he did, the same way other world governments deal with theirs.

      • We don’t have be corrupt just because the world is. We are a developing country, and we should do our best to defeat anything that would impede us to move forward.

        • @ Grim reaper = fighting to take your rightful position and what belongs to you in the world, is way different from being corrupt.

  6. For those who don’t understand, The Gambia was sold to the world Bank for$60 million, get use to it, you are no longer independent, obviously The Gambia has not learnt from history regarding the IMF and the World Bank, President Barrows will be handsomely rewarded, he might even receive a knighthood. Like I said good luck!
