The Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS) has suffered a huge revenue decline of D54m as compared its previous fiscal performance.
The Director General of GRTS, Malick Jeng, on Monday appeared before the Public Enterprise Committee of the National Assembly.
He told the committee that financial, human resources and other logistical challenges have militated against the national broadcaster’s corporate strategy.
Meanwhile, the state broadcaster has experienced a massive D54m revenue decrease for the year under review (2020).
At end of 2020, the revenue GRTS generated stood at D148,485.588.
This represents a 27 per cent decrease from the 2019 revenue of D202,598.442.
