Momodou Sabally Turns His Back To UDP

United Democratic Party (UDP) Campaign Manager, Momodou Sabally, has tendered his resignation letter after more than three years of active militantism in Gambia’s leading opposition party.

In a resignation letter leaked to the media, and obtained by JollofNews, former UDP Campaign Manager described the move as a “difficult decision to take” but he was quick to add “it is in the best interest of both party and myself.”

“Accordingly, I have also decided to cease to be a member of the UDP,” he added, cutting ties with the political organization that dropped a bundle on him since the 2016 regime change.

The news of Sabally’s resignation has sent shockwaves across the political spectrum.

A good number of observers believe that Momodou Sabally went to Canossa a long ago, and he was waiting for the right moment to switch to the governing National People’s Party (NPP).

Several calls were placed on his two Africell lines but both cellphone numbers were shutdown, unreachable…
