Jacob Mend has been selected for Gambia’s squad ahead of Scorpions’ Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar.
Mendy, a wing-back with three international caps, has made three appearances for Wrexham this season after returning from injury.
The Gambia will face Madagascar in two matches, on 11 October and again on 14 October, with both fixtures taking place in Morocco.
As a result of international call-ups, Wrexham’s League One match against Lincoln City, which was set for 12 October, has been postponed due to Lincoln’s players being called up for international duty as well.
