(JollofNews) – Police investigators attached to the Janneh Commission yesterday presented their findings on the properties acquired by the exiled General Sulayman Badjie, a close military confidant of former President Yahya Jammeh.
Presenting the findings in a power point presentation, police detective Sub Inspector Lamin Sanneh told the inquiry that they have so far traced eight properties in different locations belonging to the General who is also wanted by police in connection to alleged killing of Gambians during the Jammeh regime.
The first one he said is a property located in Bijilo, a storey building measuring 699 square meters with a security house under the care of one Aisha Fatty.
He further revealed that there is another storey building located at the Brufut Heights with a security house measuring 35x 25 square meters, while two other properties were found at Sinchu Alagie.
Explaining further, Sub Inspector Sanneh said another property located between Old Yundum and Jabang is developed and currently occupied by the brothers of Sulayman Badjie while another two are discovered in Sukuta, one of which is occupied by General Badjie’s mother and brother.
The director of Lands and Surveys, Kebba Ceesay also revealed to the commission that a property General Badjie acquired at Salagi Layout was allocated by the state, but there is no file for the property located at Brufut Heights.
Job well done! And make sure to confiscate all ill gotten wealth from all henchmen and henchwomen of the Yaya regime. But don’t stop there. Ask the current brain-dead president to declare his wealth and all his properties, including those of his cabinet ministers before they leave office.
Literally, there is more looting of public money than witnessed under the administration of Yaya the murderer. Probing others for the wrongs they committed whilst one is also engaged in the same thieving practices is a joke at best.
ALL the ministers, for example known that Adama is engaged in unethical and illegal behaviors, still none of them will come out to question these immoral behaviors and resign out of principle.
