Another Gambian minister has today tested positive for coronavirus.
Fatou Kinteh, minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare, is the latest minister to be sidelined by the disease.
Several other senior government officials including Vice-president Dr Isatou Touray, Finance minister Mambureh Njie, Petroleum and Energy minister Fafa Sanyang and Agriculture Minister Amie Fabureh are all in self-isolation after contracting the disease.
Health minister Dr Ahmadou Samateh is also reported to have tested positive for the disease.
However, President Adama Barrow has revealed that he has tested negative of the disease.
Meanwhile, President Adama Barrow will tonight announce the introduction of new measures to combat the disease including a 10pm to 5am curfew.
