Police Launch Murder Investigation After Man Found Dead In Tanji

Police in the Lower West Coast Region of the Gambia have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a young man’s lifeless body in Tanji Solifo on Sunday.

The victim, identified as 22-year-old Lamin Jallow of Tanji Nema, was found motionless with an apparent stab wound to the chest. Authorities responded swiftly to the report and secured the scene while coordinating with Crime Scene Investigators and medical personnel.

According to police, Jallow was confirmed dead at the scene and his body has since been transported to the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) in Banjul for a postmortem examination.

No suspects have been arrested so far as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
