Car Dealers Association Of The Gambia Seeks Permit To Protest

Representatives of the Car Dealers Association of The Gambia were on Thursday afternoon at the police headquarters in Banjul to seek a permit to stage a protest over the demolition of Car City in Yundum.

The representatives were barred from entering the HQ but their leader was subsequently allowed in to present the association’s request for a permit.

The association’s members were also denied a photo opportunity at the police HQ.

The car dealers have accused the Gambia government of illegal demolition as well as destruction of livelihoods.
