Biodiversity exhibition on Bissau to open in Paris

Guinea Bissau’s Prime Minister, Carlos Gomes Junior, will on January 25th, preside over the opening of a biodiversity exhibition on Guinea Bissau in the French capital, Paris. The head of Bissau’s government left France on Thursday via Dakar. From Paris he will step in to Germany to participate in a symposium on business opportunities in Africa, on the invitation of the West Africa Mineral Mining Company. An official statement in Bissau said “the activities of Carlos Gomes Junior are part of celebrations marking the International Year of Biodiversity”. During his stay in France, the head of Guinea Bissau’s government will meet with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the French State Secretary for Cooperation, the Director of the French Cooperation, the Director General of UNESCO and also Abdou Diouf, former Senegalese president and current Secretary General of the Francophonie Organisation. In Germany, Carlos Gomes Junior will meet with German businessmen to whom he will present a guide to economic information about Guinea-Bissau.
