apper and record producer, David Jassy, is in trouble with the law in the United States, after been found guilty by an L.A. County Superior Court of causing the death of a 55-year old pedestrian, the Los Angele Times reported. Jassy, 35, born in Sweden to a Gambian father and an Estonian mother, was found guilty on Monday, February 1st 2010, of second-degree murder, after a violent attack on jazz pianist, John Osnes, resulted into his death. Accordingly, the rapper who is set for sentencing on March 4th 2010 faces 15 years to life imprisonment. Witnesses reported that Jassy punched, kicked and then ran over his victim during the November 2008 incident. The victim who was said to be an advocate for pedestrian Jassey_Drights and had own no car, report struck with his hands the front of the young rapper’s SUV, prompting the scuffle between them. The older man was pronounced dead shortly after, and Jassy arrested later that day after investigators traced the license of his rented vehicle. The rapper’s lawyer reportedly argued in court papers that the victim’s actions were more aggressive than police officers had reported, and sought to reduce his bail from $1 million to between $100,000 and $250,000. But the judge on the case reportedly denied the request for a reduced bail, saying that the rapper’s Swedish citizenship made him liable to flee. The judge also pointed to the rapper’s family ties to the Gambia and Italy, as well as an 11-year-old son in Sweden, as possible reasons for his fleeing.
