Alieu Momarr Njai

(JollofNews) – Gambia’s security forces entered the building of the Independent Electoral Commission on Tuesday morning, instructed its chairman to leave and have since barred other employees from entering, the chairman, Alieu Momarr Njai, told Reuters.

“The military came to my office and said I am not to touch anything and told me to leave,” he said. “I am worried for my safety.”

West African heads of state began arriving in the country on Tuesday to try to convince long-ruling President Yahya Jammeh to relinquish power after losing an election this month.

The aim is to organise an efficient, fair and transparent election to return His Excellency Yahya BLAH, BLAH, Babili BLAH,BLAH, BLAH BLAH, BLAH,BLAH, Jammeh to power. Surely nothing wrong with that!

    • Are you sure there’s nothing wrong with that? Do you even knoe the situation this country is in? Surely you don’t. I don’t think you know who Yahya Jammeh is if you want us to go and vote again to put him in office where he will continue to jail, torture, kill and do so many unspeakable things to us. I don’t know where you’re from, but where I am from, in this case Gambia, we don’t go back to enslavement when we taste freedom. #NoTurningBack

  2. please let Mr Jammeh understand that his decision may have a negative consequences on the people of Gambia. so please for the sake of the Gambian accept the defeat and walk away with what you have got for 22 years.

  3. i think yaya jammeh is up to something very bad and huge he wnts to bring war in our country, he should just accept defeat and walk away, he should think of the little children and woman in that country, gambia is a very small country yaya jammeh should not let hs greadyness and selfessness bring disaster to tgat country. people all over around the world everyday when the wake up in the morning the first thing they is to check the news to see if he has accept to step down or not even none gambians are worried about the safety of people inside that country, why all of a sudden yay jammeh is looking for attention, i think yaya jammeh have heart in his body, since last week eople have been posting videos messages to him just for him to hand over power but is like he dosent care of our fellings we gambians made the biggest mistake when we voted for him for 22 years yaya is not educated enough to know what life is. we begging him to just hand over we are worried about our families we continue to pray that no calamity will strike in that country

  4. MY SPIRIT IS HIGH, I WONDER WHERE OUR COUNTRY IS HEAD TO? THE ALMIGHTY GOD PLEASE RESPOND TO OUR SITUATIONS . WE ARE CRY DAY AND NIGHT.
