Senegal: SNP Calls Out Gov’t Surveillance On Yolande Camara

The pro-democracy group “Senegal Our Priority” (Sénégal Notre Priorité, SNP) has Tuesday sounded the alarm bell over unregulated surveillance being meted out on Yolande Camara, one of the country’s leading female activists.

In a succinct statement issued today and seen by JollofNews, the collective called on the national and international community to bear in mind that President Macky Sall regime is bent on cracking on dissent, and will not back down on its decision to silence whistle blowers.

“President Sall and his government will be held responsible for anything that will happen to her,” SNP warned while reaffirming their resolve to be on the side of democracy.
