It does not serve any national development agenda.
It only mystifies the President.
It is inimical to democracy and good governance.

Free Speech! The President has free speech rights guaranteed by the constitution like all Gambians. I would rather others, political parties and individuals start raising billboards too. Let’s raise them up people! So long as others are not prevented from raising their own billboards, I have no issue with this. The days of armchair politicking are over. Barrow is doing what he needs to do to be out there. There is a way to counter that. Get into it too. Much need to said and much can be said. Raising a billboard to promote oneself is not illegal. Sitting on the sidelines crying will not help those who aspire to run for office. Use all means necessary to get your messages out there and if one of those means, mean raising a billboard, so be it. Let’s raise billboards. Gambia is open for raising billboards. Lol! Raise money! Raise Billboards! Raise your voices! I see where Mr. Jobarteh is coming from but his concerns are misplaced. They are directly against freedom of speech rights which he very much values. His lists above does not include that Mr. Barrow raising a billboard violates a law. In fact, it is protected by the highest law in the land; The Constitution. Raise billboards Gambians! It is the cool thing to do! I will raise one if you don’t!
