Notts County will be without striker Alassana Jatta for their pre-season trip to Germany after the club failed to obtain a visa for the Gambia international.
The 26-year-old will miss three matches the League Two side will play during their week-long getaway.
Instead of facing second tier sides SV Darmstadt, FC Kaiserslautern and fourth division club Stuttgarter Kickers, Jatta has been forced to remain in Nottingham to train with the Magpies’ B Team.
The former Viborg forward, who was Notts’ top scorer with 22 goals last season, has been made available to play for the club’s second string side in pre-season games against Leicester City’s Under-21 side and Nottinghamshire non-league club Eastwood.
Jatta started in Notts’ opening pre-season game against National League North side Alfreton Town on Saturday.
Missing the trip to Germany means the only remaining pre-season game that Jatta will be available for will be against League One side Cardiff City at Meadow Lane on 26 July.
Notts then kick their season off a week later at Newport County, but Jatta will be suspended for the start of the campaign after being sent off in the first leg of their play-off semi-final defeat by AFC Wimbledon in May.
