Dearest editors,
It is with a heavy heart that my family are once again asking for an obituary announcement to be shared with your esteemed readership/s.
It seems like just a few days ago that we sought your services in announcing the untimely death of our son, brother, cousin, nephew; Sulayman Saul Manjang which you so kindly and readily shared with your readership. Sadly, it’s Saul’s elderly father who has passed away this morning.

Kind Regards,
Dave Manneh, Southampton, UK
Ousman Manjang, Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raaji’oon….

The Manjang, Fye and Jatta families of Yundum, the Manneh and Fye families of Brufut, the Manjang families of Cassamance Sibikuroto and Sheriff Kunda, Mbahey Ndure and family, Ya Fatou Ceesay and family wish to share the sad news of the passing away of our husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father, uncle, great uncle, great-grand uncle and father-in-law; Alhaji Edrissa Manjang of New Yundum, Kombo North, The Gambia.
This sad event happened early this morning (13th February 2010) at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Banjul. He was laid to rest at the Yundum cemetery after the Zuhr (afternoon) prayer today.
Alhaji Edrisssa, or “Pa Manjang” as he was commonly known, was a giant of a man both in virtuousness and the philosophy of hard work, truthfulness and dedication to one’s family. He was a pillar of his community and would be sorely missed.
He is survived by large family, members of who are spread all around the world: Senegambia, Guinea Bissau, UK, USA, and Scandinavia and beyond.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.
