Reports that Alkali Conteh and Fabou Sanneh were given their appointment letters as diplomats have been debunked by the top NPP officials themselves.
Sources informed JollofNews that the two senior NPP officials last week received their appointment letters as displomatic representatives to the Gulf.
There were reports early this month that Conteh was appointed as ambassador to Turkey and Fabou Sanneh; protocol officer to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It later emerged that none of them was given an appointment letter from the Personel Managent Office – (PMO).
Meanwhile, as news of the recall of Gambia’s diplomats from both Turkey and Saudi Arabia was being processed, JollofNews was informed that Conteh and Sanneh could leave the country anytime soon for their ‘new assignments’. read more
But in conversations with JollofNews this afternoon, the duo denied any knowledge of the reported appointment letters.
“As far as I’m concerned, I didn’t receive any appointment letter,” Alkali Conteh replied when asked by JollofNews as to whether he was given any appointment letter as reported.
“No. I didn’t receive any appointment letter,” Fabou Sanneh meantime told JollofNews when asked about it.
Meanwhile, reliable sources have informed JollofNews that both Sanneh and Conteh were in receipt of their appointment letters as we spoke on Sunday.
