Credible sources have informed JollofNews that the minority caucus of the Gambia’s National Assembly is determined to spearhead the convening of a special legislative session to exhaustively look into the disposal of the assets of the former Gambian dictator.
“The Speaker of the National Assembly is currently attending an AU meeting in Southern Africa, but we will ensure that a special session is convened to get to the bottom of the contentious issue of the sale of Jammeh’s assets,” vowed one legislator.
Opposition MPs contacted by this medium have confirmed the minority caucus’s readiness to escalate the issue in the legislature for transparency and accountability purposes.
